Information

I like to eat my smoothies out of a bowl. I suppose it's because it satisfies a chewing need. So I make my smoothie bowls a little more chunky that smooth.

This is a great recipe to double, triple or even quadruple ( for my assistant Sara's family). I store the extra in individual containers in the freezer and even trick my brain  into thinking a small portion is an exotic type of sherbet or ice-cream. That is if I need an evening desert.

Larger portions can even be stored in containers so the kiddos can indulge in healthy fruits.

Spa benefits for this lovely pink delight is that the strawberries are highly anti-inflammatory and full of Vitamin C. Whether mixing up a facial blend or eating they contribute to a bright and clear complexion.

Bananas are known for their richness in the mineral potassium. When I lifted wights at the local gym  (a long time ago) it was common to see many of the body builders with banana baby food jar. They swore this helped relieve any muscle cramps during and after work-outs. They are also known as the happy fruit because they promote the release of serotonin.

Pineapple is also high in vitamin C and naturally high in antioxidants. Just a tip from the Salon: Pineapple when prepared for a facial mask helps reduce fine lines and the appearance of hyperpigmentation( age spots).  It helps keep the skin looking toned by increasing collagen production.

Enjoy your healthy Smoothie Bowl from the Dayspa!

Have a Beautiful Day!
