Daily Affirmation Practices

The Magic of a Peaceful Perspective Using Affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements used to increase your personal frequencies and improve your outlook on life. They can replace negative or challenging thoughts that interfere with your peace of mind. They are very powerful when you recognize a self-deprecating thought and replace it immediately with the appropriate affirmation for you.

According to the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging at the University of Southern California the average person has about 48.6 thoughts per minute. This adds up to a total of 70,000 thoughts per day. Most of these thoughts are repeated each and every day.

Repetitive words and phrase can impact our emotional and physical health. The phrases transform into beliefs and become embedded in the subconscious. The subconscious protects our beliefs and begins to attract experiences that are in alignment with those thought patterns.

Frequently using affirmations results in more profound shifts in your life. A daily affirmation practice increases the results the positive words have on your behavior. (Read about The Power of Positive Words here.)

Three Techniques To Use With Your Affirmations

CCR= Cancel Clear Replace

When you find yourself repeating a thought that really doesn't lift your spirits or it is self-deprecating I and another intuitive friend started using this technique. I call it Cancel-Clear-Replace. We catch the thought and say out loud CANCEL. Then CLEAR the thought by erasing it. Then REPLACE it with a positive affirmation that counteracts the negative thought.

Outta The Jar and Into Your Mind

In our membership site we created 66 affirmations. I made a workbook with the affirmations so everyone could print them and cut them out. Then we placed them in a container. Our choice. I like mine in a old metal cauldron with a lid. Some placed theirs in a pretty jar. Some in a decorated box. The point is to make this fun. Draw out a paper each day and read it aloud.

  Sense of Smell

I love blending essential oils and making healing perfumes or anointing oils with them. In our Twilight Therapy Shop we have an assortment of perfumes in roller bottles that have already been diluted and are ready to use. These are made with essential oils, carrier oils and absolutely no synthetics. The essential oils can help you breathe deeper and think more clearly when meditating.

Drawing your affirmation from your container is a type of mini-meditation. Applying an anointing oil to your body will activate your sense of smell. Your sense of smell is the strongest memory trigger. During the day you can re-apply and remember your affirmation.

Thank you so much and have a Peaceful Day,

~Patrina~
