Gratitude Increases Positive Energy

Handwriting in your gratitude journal daily will teach your brain to look for the positive, happy things in your life. The brain will begin to form solutions instead of complaints.

Handwriting in your gratitude journal daily will teach your brain to look for the positive, happy things in your life. The brain will begin to form solutions instead of complaints.

Gratitude increases positive energy by maintaining a consistent routine each day. This energy will help to balance the chakra system and begins to expand and open the heart chakra.

Have a Wonderful Day,

I'm sitting here in amazement gazing at the color of fall through my office window.

The breeze carries swirls of yellow, orange, red and magenta leaves that collect in a tapestry of colors on my lawn.

There are crunchy unattractive brown leaves in the mixture too. They enhance the beauty of the colorful leaves.

But I'm staring at the yellow leaves and remembering their significance in a pivotal point in my life. I guess I would say that my life was the crunchy brown leaves at that time. Every once in a while the wind blew .........

Manifesting With Gratitude Part 1

November is so beautiful. A time of transitional colors and gorgeous warm toned leaves swirling through the winds and gathering in a beautiful mess in the yards.

The colors of energy and action that merge and eventually create the color brown which is one of the colors of gratitude.

Every day (for over 26 years) I write 10 different things  that I am grateful for in a journal. This ritual started while I was going through something I refer to as Divine Discontent.

These are a few of the emotions I was going through:

  • Overwhelmed
  • Isolated
  • Stuck
  • Heartbroken
  • Anxious
  • ......

I hope you are doing great today!

I thought I had retired in 2011 but something happened when I started writing a workbook outline for a few clients and friends who had called me to ask for instructions about  the meditation forms we use to use in the salon. Along with these calls I would answer questions  about essential oils, crystals and  facial treatments. The workbook evolved  into a book which is in its final stages of being fine tuned and edited.

Well I am a hair stylist and always will be in my heart. I tend to approach any new adventure with the need of a tactile experience. I either have to touch it , smell it, see it or hear it ............

Yesterday was Saturday. My husband followed his usual routine, well almost. He skipped his trip to the lumberyard and hardware stores.

But he did make his weekly venture to Wal Mart. Well he is from Arkansas.

Of course I receive a call from him while he's in the grocery section.

"I shouldn't have come to the grocery store while I'm hungry."

I am slightly amuse and scared at the same time. I know he will return with gluten filled, genetically modified, over processed, artificially flavored and high fructose corn syrup delicacy that my will power will succumb to. So I give him a couple of simple instructions oatmeal, chicken breast, bisquick. I know he won't get the gluten-free or even fat free bisquick but I .........

So this is where my spa program began . In this tiny house in Biloxi, Ms. It went through just as many transformations and color schemes as I went through mood swings.

Bless its big heart for all it has endured. I was single when I moved in with my two children in 1985. It was a rental at the time and I worked at a fancy local department store at the Mall part time and had just started working full time at Shear Artistry Stying Salon . The relationships I made at that department store and in the salon created the direction and experiences of my life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. But when I moved away the influences remained intact.

The first chapter of "Gratefully Altered"  takes you through my most unusual ............

 Hi Everyone,

I would like to invite you to go on this journey along with me. That's my Grandson in the photo with me after his very first haircut about 4 years ago!! It's fun being a Nana and being a writer.

Oh yes, my name is Patrina Rutherford. I am an author. I am an author. I believe in the power of saying I am. I am now changing that mantra to I am a published author. Well I am. That is what the publisher told me. Then they backed up and changed it to " or you could be a writer." Umm what??

There seems to be a struggle to release this system of  therapies that I have a great passion to share. There are days when everything is going along quite smoothly and words seem to flow ........................

Introduction To "Gratefully Altered"

There are a few of us that become overwhelmed searching for just the right tools to bring a peaceful perspective into our lifestyles. The search can create more frustration, leaving us feeling defeated. Nothing seems to work or fit into our daily routines.

Some modalities found on our search may require intense study and dedication in order to master. This tends to feed the frustration especially when the urges to find peace in your life is persistent and wanting immediate gratification.

My career as a cosmetologist and intuitive coach has enabled me to know my clients on a highly personal basis over a few ......
