Major Properties: astringent,antiseptic,Diuretic, expectorant, germicide, insecticide, fungicide
sedative, grounding, strengthening

History & Myth: Cedar was used in ship building and furniture making in ancient Egypt due to itsstrength, durability and ability to repel insects. Cedar stands for strength, nobilityand dignity and was used as an offering of gratitude to the gods. It was also used inmummification processes and rituals for its preservative qualities

Skin & Hair: At Twilight we use Cedar in shampoo mixtures to help clarify the scalp, strengthenthe hair and prevent hair loss.It is great to use to control eczema or oily skin andhair loss due to its antiseptic properties. When added to a carrier ( lotion) cedar isbeneficial in healing skin rashes and acne.

Spirit & Body: Cedar is very Earthy and has a strong grounding effect on the root chakra. Itpromotes relaxation and we have used it to duffuse into the air during breathworksessions, meditation, yoga and Chi Kung. It also helps alleviate anger and aggression.

Pets: Twilight clients have used Cedar successfully in barns to diminish the fly populationthat irritates our Scensational Pet Goats both in Mississippi and North Carolina.We also use it in our natural flea collars.

 

Twilight Favorite Formulas

 

Regenerating Shampoo

8 oz. Twilight Fragrance- Free Shampoo

5 drops Cedar                     

15 drops   Rosemary             

10 drops Lemon                    

Remember more is not always better. So this formula can be made stronger by adding more
drops, but be careful not to  iquify the shampoo.
