Beltane is a traditional Celtic festival celebrated on May 1st, also known as May Day. It falls opposite Samhain on the Wheel of the Year. This provocative season is associated with fertility for people, the animal kingdom, and our crops.
The name Beltane means "bright fire", or "fires of Bel" and bonfires were traditionally lit to celebrate the occasion. The union of the God and Goddess, during this time of renewal, breathes fire of passion into our creative lifestyles.
