Psychic Experiences At The Rhine

The Rhine Research Center On Campus Walk Avenue Near  Duke University Campus, Durham, NC

The 2 story tan brick building stands nestled at the base of a small hill. The Rhine Research Center in Durham, North Carolina is located on Campus Walk Avenue near Duke University Campus.  I passed it by on my first visit even though  my GPS was demanding that I turn right , right now. The turn was difficult to see and the trees gently blocked my vision.  I finally arrived and stepped out of my vehicle. An energetic cushion of  calm excitement enveloped me. I did not want to leave. My first trip was a trial run just to see if I could even find the location.

I had been waiting to visit this mystical place for decades. I know I hadn't read about the Paranormal classes online because there was no online when I was in high school. I just knew that I always wanted to be a part of something scientifically mysterious and somewhere in my youthful past my attention was directed to this space.

PSYCHIC EXPERIENCES GROUP

There is a monthly PEG meeting. This acronym stands for Psychic Experiences Group. This is where I wanted to be. After moving from Biloxi,Mississippi to my family origins of North Carolina I felt completely out of place until I attended a UFO meeting in Asheboro. Their meetings are at different locations and usually too far for me to travel alone. The people at the MUFONC\NC were friendly and the encounters that was shared amazing and I definitely do not want a UFO encounter. Especially after what I witnessed in Sand Destin over the Gulf Of Mexico, but that is another blog.

Anyway, while in Mississippi I magnetized or attracted many friends and clients who were interested in energy healing work, collective consciousness, spiritual work, angelic encounters and pretty much unexplained phenomena. We held study and meditation groups at TLH ,The Little House, until we outgrew it and moved into a larger studio. I missed the safety and sharing of our Biloxi group and  became extremely homesick after moving to North Carolina. So finding the PEG close enough for me to travel round trip in an evening lifted my spirits and regenerated my enthusiasm.

My First PEG Meeting

The rain was expected to start drizzling around 8:00 pm that night. I left Chapel Hill ,where I was staying with my Son and his family, as  the sun was disappearing and the twilight hour was emerging. They were about 35 minutes from the center. The rain was not going to  disturb my adventure. I figured on my return I would just stop at a restaurant if my vision was distorted and wait it out or call my son to pick up his mother or I could call a cab. Whatever. I was determined.

Upon arrival I paid my fee and found the perfect seat, pretty much where I continue to sit each time I attend.

A petite lady with long natural platinum hair and kind gentle blue eyes opened the meeting with a sincere welcome. Her soothing voice seemed to comfort the new comers and was respected by the "regulars".

The Rules:

  • It is permissible to repeat the accounts and experiences that someone shares but you may not use their name without their permission
  • We respect each others encounters, experiences ( "Oh good," I thought to myself. No eyeball rolling or zoned out faces of someone trying to escape my enthusiasm. I liked these rules!)
  • Of course we turn off our phones
  • Each person gets a chance to share and we speak one at a time
  • We start promptly at 7:00 pm
  • At 8:55 pm  we participate in 5 minutes of silent meditation ( Let me tell you that 5 minutes goes by fast and I feel so peaceful afterwards)
  • There is a $10.00 fee or non-members and members there is a $5 fee ( but since the Rhine is a non profit organization most everyone pays the entry fee and a little extra)
  • We are aloud to present any flyers if we are hosting our own events.
  • That's about it . Of course common sense rules that you clean up after yourself.

The Rhine Research Center  welcomes everyone's personal encounters with ,what is considered, paranormal with respect and open minds. We share our experiences without judgment.

No matter where you are in your personal journey  it is a beautiful place to visit whether online or in person.

Enjoy more posts from my adventures at the Rhine Research Center.
